Nice and cozy in here

Today it rained for the first time in several weeks, probably the first of the fall rains. The baby was so excited by it that he wanted to open the sliding glass door and run out onto the deck to feel it! Roll up the pantlegs, off with the socks, "Waaaiin. It'th WAAIIIninggg..." Little hands out, fingers splayed to feel it come down, and then he wanted his shirt off to feel it more! "Mommy come TOOOO" he insisted/invited. "It'th cooooldd."

I love to see him enjoy himself so well. He loves sensation, murmurring "Feels gooood" when his neck is stroked or twiddling his bare toes along anything that contacts them when he's sitting. He loves to toss a blanket over his head while seated and say he's "In the binky house; Mommy come in the binky house TOO," and then when I get my head and torso scooched under there with him, he'll lean toward me and rest his head on my breast, crooning, "Aw, that's such a nice mommy. It'th nice an' cozy in heah."
